How are our courses delivered?

Our highly qualified and experienced teachers are dedicated to helping you achieve the results you desire. Guidance and feedback is specific to you and your goals. Here are more details about our Business English courses:

  • Business English courses are part-time, to suit working adults.
  • Class size is a maximum of 16 students as we believe in keeping classes small to maximise teacher-student interaction.
  • 1:1/Small group private lessons for adults are available  you get to interact with your teacher more at your own pace and time. Private Business English classes are available at our teaching centres, and at your workplace or residence in Singapore.

How to track your English language progress

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability. You can use it to know your current level of English and track your progress.

Business English course (UTAP claimable)

These courses are for working professionals in Singapore who want to be use English in the workplace with greater accuracy, fluency and effectiveness. The courses cover speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You also build the English grammar and vocabulary you need to take your business communication skills to the next level. 

English skills you learn in this course:

  • Ways to speak more clearly and naturally in the workplace.
  • How to discuss a range of business topics with greater ease and a wider vocabulary.
  • How to express and justify opinions on work-related topics more fluently.
  • Ways to participate more confidently in meetings, negotiations and presentations.
  • How to better understand written business texts.
  • How to write more accurate emails, so they have greater impact.

This course is suitable for adult students with English at CEFR levels B1, B1+, B2.

Funding

The Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) is a training benefit for NTUC members to defray their cost of training. NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded* course fee support for up to S$250 each year when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP. NTUC members aged 40 and above will get increased funding support from S$250 to S$500. NTUC Starter members can enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to S$200 per year when you attend courses supported under UTAP. Terms and conditions apply. *Unfunded course fee refers to the balance course fee payable after applicable government subsidy. You can use UTAP for this course.
