• The British Council in Singapore's ‘Refer-a-friend’ promotion is valid for existing English courses for kids and teens, English courses for adults and 1:1/Small group private lessons for adults, kids and teens, who refer NEW students to the British Council in Singapore’s English courses for kids and teens, English courses for adults and 1:1/Small group private lessons for adults, kids and teens.
  • The Referrer refers to the current student or student who has studied with us within the last 2 years.
  • The Referee refers to the new student who is entirely new to the British Council. The Referee is required to promptly notify our Sales and Customer Management team regarding the identity of the Referrer at the point of registration. Any entitlement associated with the referral will be null and void after the registration process is completed. Once registration is completed, the Referee will no longer be considered as a new student. 
  • The ‘Refer-a-friend’ promotion rewards cannot be converted to cash or used to offset course and/or registration fees and is strictly non-transferrable. 
  • The Referrer becomes eligible for the reward once the Referred: 
    - Young Learner student has registered a full term of 'English courses for kids and teens' with the British Council in Singapore
    - Adult student has registered an 'English course for adults' with the British Council in Singapore
    - Adult or Young Learner student has registered for a minimum package of 10 lessons of '1:1/Small group private lessons for adults, kids and teens' with the British Council in Singapore.
  • Notification to collect the reward will be sent to both the Referrer and the Referee 21 days after class/lesson commencement. 
  • Any unclaimed vouchers will be forfeited after 90 days of notification.
  • ⁠The British Council reserves the sole and absolute right to withdraw, amend and/or alter any part of the whole terms and conditions in relation to this British Council ‘Refer-a-friend’ promotion at any time without giving any prior notice to the participants and the participants agree to be bound by those changes.
  • The British Council shall not be liable for any claims by the participants or third-party claims or loses of any nature, including but not limited to, loss of profits, punitive, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or for other damages and any related claims of any nature, including direct, indirect, third-part, consequential or other damages resulting from or in connection with this British Council ‘Refer-a-friend’ promotion.
  • The British Council reserves the right of final decision in case of any dispute.
