‘This Is Who I Am’ – previewing at Botanic Gardens’ Trees of the World 2021

If you are visiting the Botanic Gardens look out for British Council’s specially ornamented festive tree near the Nassim Gate, decorated to preview an upcoming inclusive arts project ‘This Is Who I Am’.  (Saturday 4 December 2021 to 2 January 2022).

‘This Is Who I Am’ inclusive arts project will feature autobiographic monologues by disabled and neurodiverse artists from Singapore and the UK that bring together personal stories to raise awareness and further the agenda of access and inclusion.

Launching on 1 March at the National Library Board.

It also tied in with the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Friday 3 December, to raise awareness of the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development.

The tree installation is part of the Botanic Gardens’ Trees of the World 2021 programme, which will see trees being specially decorated, adorned with festive lights and lit up from 7pm to 12 midnight daily.
