The Event programme included:
- An introduction by UKSSC
- Presentations by British Council, UKSSC and Singapore Global Network (SGN)
- Breakout rooms: where participants could move freely between rooms to speak with students from University Singapore Societies (SingSocs) and other subject-specific Student Organisations (medicine, law)
- General Q&A and a final Closing
About the United Kingdom Singapore Students' Council (UKSSC)
The United Kingdom Singapore Students' Council (UKSSC) is a non-profit, student-led organisation established in 1998 to represent the interests of Singaporean students in universities within the United Kingdom. It strives to connect Singaporean students studying in the UK, through promoting events and career opportunities across institutions, alumni groups and other affiliated organisations, to foster a vibrant Singaporean student community in the UK. The UKSSC also works closely with government organisations such as the Singapore High Commission in London, Singapore Global Network and the British Council to provide continual support and guidance to students throughout their time in the UK.
About Singapore Global Network (SGN)
The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a division of the Singapore Economic Development Board. As a community, SGN aims to grow Singapore’s overseas networks by building meaningful and lasting relationships with family, friends and fans around the world. SGN also offers the SGN Funding Programme (SGNFP), a seed fund which can be leveraged by individuals, groups and student associations in organising events that help bring together the community of Singapore family and friends.
