If you choose to do IELTS on computer you will be taking exactly the same test as the IELTS on paper. Both versions of the IELTS test have the same test content and structure. The only difference with IELTS on computer is that you can choose to type your answers instead of writing them on paper.
More test dates available with IELTS on computer
If you choose to take the IELTS computer based test, you will answer the Listening, Reading and Writing sections of the IELTS test on a computer at our official test centres. The IELTS Speaking test will still be face-to-face with a trained IELTS Examiner, as this is the most effective way to assess your speaking skills.
With IELTS on computer, you will now have more test dates to choose from - and your results will be available in 1 to 5 days*.
*Results for IELTS on computer are usually available in 1 to 5 days after you finish all components of your test.
