The Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Assessments For An Effective Workforce
The Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessments are computer-delivered English language and numeracy tests developed by the British Council, in collaboration with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). They are used to assess English language skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, as well as numeracy skills.
Why WPLN?
The WPLN assessments provide a convenient and accurate way to measure the language and numeracy skills of your employees. You can use the test results to:
- recruit and promote the right talent in your organisation
- enjoy potential savings of up to 33 per cent on foreign worker levy bills by upgrading Work Permit holders in the Hotel, Retail, and Food & Beverage industries to a higher-skilled status
- identify strengths and weaknesses in your employee pool, and thereby develop appropriate training or up-skilling programmes.
