The British Council has co-authored an article titled Moving Beyond the Art-As-Service Paradigm: The Evolution of Arts and Disability in Singapore (Justin Lee, Shawn Goh, Sarah Meisch Lionetto, Joanne Tay, and Alice Fox).

The chapter appears in the latest The Routledge Handbook of Disability Arts, Culture, and Media, available at https://www.routledge.com/The-Routledge-Handbook-of-Disability-Arts-Culture-and-Media/Hadley-McDonald/p/book/9780815368410

Moving Beyond the Art-As-Service Paradigm: The Evolution of Arts and Disability in Singapore traces the evolution of inclusive arts in Singapore, from its participatory and community beginnings to the recent movement to develop disabled artists. The chapter then proposes that disability arts has the potential to provide an emancipatory experience for artists with disabilities, using examples from both Singapore and the UK.
