In 2016 British Council partnered with Very Special Arts (VSA) to decorate a tree at the Botancial Gardens on 25 November under NParks' Trees of the World Light Up 2016 event.
British Council worked with students from Very Special Arts to create Christmas tree decorations from their original artworks. Students, family members and volunteers gathered together to set up the tree for the Trees of Light Festival for the festival which was viewed by the 50,000 thousand monthly average visiotors to the Gardens which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
