Steve Adams has worked in the field of English Teaching and Assessment for 34 years. He started his career as a teacher in Turkey, and has since worked in the UK, Italy, Brazil, Singapore, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Kenya, Dubai and China. He holds a degree in Genetics, an MS in English Teaching, and MBA and certificates and a diploma in teaching and teacher training. During this time, he has been involved in teaching associations in a number of these locations. Steve has been in various management positions for 32 of these 34 years, and moved from teaching to work in Exams in 2004 in a senior role and has been managing country and regional exams operations. He is currently director of British Council’s largest exams operation in East Asia. He is particularly interested in innovation, new technologies in assessment and international business management.
