Vicky Evans is the newly appointed head of sustainability for Cambridge University Press & Assessment and has worked across Cambridge Assessment since 2014, focused on international curriculum redevelopment, customer and community engagement, employee experience and communications. Vicky leads on developing the organisation’s approach to sustainability, covering the embedding of the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainability Goals into strategy, the development of the organisation’s carbon zero 2048 plan and growing the CUP&A approach to education and engagement in sustainability. Recent successes for the sustainability team include the 2021 Independent Publishers Guild Award for Sustainability and the Platinum Award as part of the UN sponsored Green Impact Scheme for Universities. Vicky has a background in arts and cultural engagement, holding masters degrees in English Literature and History and Museums Studies from The Universities of Edinburgh and St Andrews, and worked in international museums for over ten years, advocating for and empowering communities to discover and explore their local and national identities through museum collections.
